Effective classroom instruction depends not only on subject expertise but also on the professional preparation educators receive before entering the teaching profession. Concerns regarding the consistency and practical orientation of teacher preparation have raised questions about how prospective educators develop the knowledge and skills required for effective instructional practice. This study examines the relationship between professional preparation, educator readiness, and instructional development, with particular attention to the institutional arrangements, curriculum structures, and academic perspectives that shape preparation for classroom practice. The research draws on an examination of relevant policy and regulatory provisions, a systematic review of teacher preparation curricula, and quantitative evidence gathered from academics involved in programs that qualify graduates for teaching positions. The analysis considers the extent to which existing preparation pathways address pedagogical knowledge, instructional strategies, classroom management, and the practical demands of teaching. Findings indicate variations in the emphasis placed on pedagogical preparation and reveal continuing challenges in connecting academic coursework with the realities of classroom instruction. The study highlights the importance of coherent preparation frameworks, stronger practical components, and sustained collaboration between higher education institutions and educational settings. These measures can contribute to better prepared educators and more consistent instructional practice.

This study examines moral challenges associated with algorithmic decision-making within contemporary enterprises, focusing on discriminatory data patterns, intrusive customer profiling, inappropriate use of personal information, persuasive digital practices, transparency limitations, and uncertainty surrounding responsibility for technology-assisted outcomes. The discussion considers how such concerns may affect consumer trust, organizational reputation, fairness, and long-term relationships with stakeholders. Attention is also given to the difficulties organizations encounter when deploying rapidly developing technological systems without sufficient oversight or clearly defined governance mechanisms. The study further explores practical approaches for strengthening responsible technology use through transparent decision processes, human supervision, data governance, accountability structures, risk assessment, and organizational policies. By connecting technological adoption with responsible managerial practice, the study highlights the importance of balancing operational advancement with fairness, transparency, safety, and stakeholder interests in technology-driven organizational environments.

The meaning of artistic originality has changed considerably as modern art moved away from beauty as its primary aesthetic standard. This shift placed greater emphasis on novelty, distinction, and the individual position of the artist, raising questions about how originality can be recognized and valued within changing cultural institutions. This study examines these questions through Boris Groys’s concept of Kultürökonomie, which understands cultural production through processes of exchange, valuation, innovation, and the continual reclassification of cultural objects. The discussion focuses on the tension between artistic rebellion and institutional recognition, using graffiti as a critical case for examining the limits of this framework. Graffiti presents a distinctive challenge because its significance is closely connected to illegality, place, material presence, and resistance to established artistic conventions. Its movement from unauthorized urban expression into galleries and commercial settings also reveals how alternative practices can be absorbed into the cultural system they initially challenge. The study argues that originality cannot be understood solely through cultural novelty or systems of valuation. Its meaning also depends on the material realization of artistic ideas, the circumstances of production, and the relationship between creative intention and cultural recognition. The analysis proposes a broader understanding of originality that preserves the tension between artistic independence and institutional assimilation.

This review examines the relationship between surveillance, propaganda, institutional authority, and individual freedom in cold war literature. It focuses on the ways literary narratives represent the psychological effects of persistent observation, political suspicion, and ideological pressure on individual identity and agency. The use of propaganda as a mechanism of social control and to the ways literary texts expose the tension between democratic ideals and practices of surveillance. The review considers how cold war narratives portray institutions as spaces in which conformity can be encouraged, dissent can be marginalized, and individuals can gradually become subjects of political and social regulation. It also explores the literary use of ambiguity, unreliable narration, ideological irony, and propagandistic strategies to challenge dominant political narratives. Rather than presenting surveillance as a feature of authoritarian states alone, the discussion considers its implications within democratic societies where security concerns may also restrict civil liberties. Overall, the review highlights literature’s capacity to question political authority, expose mechanisms of social control, and preserve the possibility of individual resistance and freedom.

Language can influence how individuals understand identity, participation, and belonging within societies marked by linguistic diversity. This study examines the relationship between linguistic power and social belonging in multilingual communities, with particular attention to the ways dominant language practices shape everyday social relations and cultural identities. Drawing on a qualitative interpretive approach, the study considers language-related policies, educational practices, public discourse, and institutional arrangements that affect speakers of minority languages. The analysis focuses on the social processes through which forms of speech acquire greater legitimacy and become associated with education, employment, citizenship, and social mobility. It also considers how multilingual speakers negotiate these expectations while maintaining connections with their linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The findings suggest that language functions beyond interpersonal communication; it can become a marker of social inclusion, cultural recognition, and institutional authority. Dominant linguistic practices may encourage integration while simultaneously placing pressure on minority-language communities to adjust their identities and communicative practices. The study highlights the importance of recognizing multilingualism as a social and cultural resource and calls for approaches that support linguistic diversity without restricting opportunities for wider social participation.

Background: Periods of prolonged social restriction can negatively affect emotional well-being and interpersonal connectedness. Activities that combine physical movement, cultural expression, and social interaction may provide a practical way of supporting psychological health when face-to-face participation is limited. This study examined whether participation in a remotely delivered Greek folk-dance intervention could influence self-esteem and situational anxiety among members of cultural associations.

Methods: A total of 147 adults (43 men and 104 women; mean age 49.73 ± 8.14 years) participated in the study. Participants were randomly assigned to an intervention group (n = 75) or a control group (n = 72). The intervention group attended two 45-minute synchronous folk-dance sessions each week for 12 weeks using the ZOOM platform. The control group maintained their usual activities during the same quarantine period. Before and after the intervention, performance, social, and appearance dimensions of self-esteem were assessed using the State Self-Esteem Scale, while situational anxiety was evaluated with the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Form X-1.

Results: Following the 12-week intervention, participants who engaged in the remote dance sessions demonstrated significant improvements in performance self-esteem (t = −7.75, p < 0.001), social self-esteem (t = −5.23, p < 0.001), and appearance self-esteem (t = −5.67, p < 0.001). A significant reduction in situational anxiety was also observed (t = 7.33, p < 0.001). In contrast, participants in the control condition showed unfavorable changes, characterized by lower self-esteem scores and increased anxiety.

Conclusion: Synchronous participation in culturally meaningful folk-dance activities may contribute to improved self-perception and reduced situational anxiety during periods of social isolation. Remote group-based dance may therefore represent a feasible approach for maintaining psychological and social well-being when conventional face-to-face activities are restricted.

Background: Decisions in criminal cases are expected to rely primarily on the available evidence, yet the emotional way case information is presented may affect how decision-makers interpret and respond to that evidence. Understanding this influence is important because sentencing judgments may be particularly sensitive to emotional responses.

Objective: This study examined whether the emotional presentation of information in a murder case affects judgments of guilt, perceptions of evidentiary quality, and recommended sentences.

Methods: Participants were presented with a hypothetical murder case in which the emotional tone of the case description, the quantity of evidence, and the strength of the evidence were systematically varied. After reviewing the case, participants indicated whether they considered the defendant guilty, recommended an appropriate sentence, and evaluated the amount and strength of the evidence as well as the emotional character of the case.

Results: Emotional presentation did not produce a significant change in judgments of guilt. In contrast, participants exposed to more emotionally charged case descriptions recommended significantly more severe sentences. The effect remained evident despite differences in the quantity and strength of the evidence, suggesting that emotional information can affect sentencing judgments without necessarily altering assessments of culpability.

Conclusion: The findings indicate that emotional presentation may operate as a source of bias during criminal decision-making, particularly when decision-makers determine the severity of punishment. Although emotionality did not appear to influence guilty verdicts in this study, its effect on sentencing highlights the importance of considering how language and case presentation shape legal judgments. Further research should investigate whether such effects vary according to characteristics such as race and socioeconomic status and whether differences in emotional presentation contribute to disparities in criminal justice outcomes.

Employment opportunities for persons with visual impairment continue to be shaped by workplace accessibility, vocational support, employer practices, and the availability of suitable career pathways. Although disability employment policies promote participation in the workforce and encourage employers to provide appropriate workplace accommodations, obtaining employment does not always translate into meaningful career development or long-term professional growth. This study examines the major employment and career-support challenges experienced by persons with visual impairment through a multifaceted review of existing literature. The analysis focuses on job availability, vocational rehabilitation, job matching, workplace accommodation, career progression, and the role of employers and support organizations. The literature indicates that employment opportunities remain concentrated in a limited range of occupations, while inadequate job matching and insufficient career guidance can restrict the effective use of individual skills and qualifications. Difficulties related to workplace adaptation, professional advancement, and sustained employer support further influence employment experiences. The findings highlight the need for more individualized employment services that connect the abilities, qualifications, and career aspirations of persons with visual impairment with appropriate occupational opportunities. Strengthening vocational rehabilitation, improving employer awareness, expanding accessible workplaces, and developing systematic job-matching mechanisms may contribute to more diverse and sustainable career pathways. Greater attention to career progression beyond initial job placement is also important for promoting meaningful participation in the workforce.

Inclusive language has become an important area of linguistic and sociocultural debate, particularly in contexts where language is expected to acknowledge diverse gender identities while avoiding discriminatory assumptions. This study comparatively examines how gender is represented, marked, or neutralized in Dutch, English, French, and German. It focuses on two broad approaches to inclusive expression: making gender identities linguistically visible through explicit forms and reducing gender marking through neutral or non-gendered alternatives. The analysis considers how the grammatical structures, lexical resources, and established language conventions of each language influence the adoption and effectiveness of these approaches. The extent to which different strategies contribute to the recognition of gender-diverse identities and to the tensions that may emerge between linguistic innovation, communicative clarity, and established usage. The comparison also explores how debates surrounding inclusive language intersect with wider cultural attitudes toward gender, equality, and social change. By bringing together four linguistically distinct contexts, the study demonstrates that no single strategy provides a universally applicable solution. Instead, the possibilities and limitations of inclusive language are shaped by the structural characteristics of individual languages as well as by the sociocultural environments in which linguistic change occurs. The findings contribute to broader discussions of gender, language change, and inclusive communication in multilingual societies.

The digital age has significantly reshaped the ways leaders communicate, build relationships, and exercise influence within increasingly connected societies. This study examines the changing nature of leadership under digital transformation, with particular attention to social media, online communication, and the growing expectation of openness and accessibility. It explores how digital platforms have altered interactions between leaders and their audiences while creating new opportunities for participation, rapid information exchange, and public engagement. At the same time, technological change does not eliminate the foundational qualities that underpin effective leadership. Integrity, empathy, accountability, adaptability, and strategic vision continue to influence how leaders respond to complex organizational and social environments. The study argues that contemporary leadership is neither a complete departure from traditional models nor a simple extension of them. Instead, it represents an evolving relationship between technological capabilities and enduring human principles. The findings suggest that successful digital leadership depends on the ability to use emerging technologies without allowing technological efficiency to overshadow ethical judgment, interpersonal understanding, and purposeful decision-making. Digital leadership therefore emerges as a dynamic practice in which innovation and fundamental leadership values develop alongside one another.
