Abstract
Introduction: The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 resulted in significant adverse outcomes includin cardiovascular disease. The increase in cardiovascular outcomes was both short-term and long-term. A review was conducted on the short-term increase in cardiovascular disease following the attacks.
