A Note on – Common Fixed Points of Faintly Compatible Mappings

Abstract
In this paper, we have established some common fixed point theorems for a pair of faintly compatible
mappings by removing the containments and weakening the continuity conditions from the results due to Bisht
and Shahzad [2]. We have used a weaker notion of reciprocal continuity and thereby obtaining a proper
generalization of these results.
