This paper is concerned with optimal time for enter or exit of a financial position such as sell or buying a specified stock. Throughout the current paper, it is assumed that the mean function of return process of asset (say stock) price is time varying. Indeed, first, considering the step function of Yao (1984), optimal trading strategies problem are studied using optimal stopping technique and dynamic programming solutions are proposed. Optimal stopping rules are presented and they are applied to two real data sets. Then, alternative ways for formulation of time varying mean functions are studied throughout the simulated examples. Finally, concluding remarks are proposed.

In this paper, the oscillatory behavior of the solutions for a coupled Stuart-Landau oscillator model with delays is investigated. Time delay induced partial death patterns with conjugate coupling in relay oscillators has been investigated in the literature which is very special case because this model includes only one delay. According to the practical problem, the propagation delays are not the same as one. A model includes six different time delays is considered. By mathematical analysis method, the oscillatory behavior of the Stuart-Landau oscillators is brought to the instability of a unique equilibrium point of the model and the boundedness of the solutions. Some sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of oscillatory solutions which are very easy to check comparing to the bifurcating method are provided. Computer simulations are given to support the present results. Our simulation suggests that time delays affect the oscillatory frequency much and amplitude slightly

Present panorama of the sequence of operators classes with their associated functional calculi, relevant in semi group theory: the sequence of operators of half plane, strip, sector and parabola-type. It is shown that the basic results in the theory of -semigroup (the Hille-Yosida and the Trotter-kato theorem) follow easily from general functional calculus principles by Markus Haase [9]. The introduction of parabola-type sequence of operators allows to treat cosine the sequence of operator’s functions by functional calculus methods.

A generalization of the Filippov's velocity averaging method in the problem of determining the slip velocity of a dynamical system with discontinuous right-hand sides is proposed.
